When I first saw Nick working out with the kettlebells, I knew he was the trainer for me! I’ve trained personally and extensively with three trainers and less seriously with about six more. Nick was easily the best trainer! He kept me motivated to work out, safely and appropriately challenged me to do higher weights and more reps that I thought possible, provided an extensive variety of exercises each day we trained, suggested other exercises and classes to round out my training schedule, connected me with a knowledgeable nutrition coach, and easily modified any exercise I was having issues with. I knew each session was designed just for me and was taking me to my next level. Although he had a very thorough understanding of the exercise machines, I appreciated his emphasis on kettlebells, barbells, TRX, bands and body weight movements. He got me to safely return to weight lifting—which I love! I trained with him for over a year during which time I became stronger, met a realistic weight loss goal, reduced my need for arthritis medication, and even more importantly had the energy and strength to provide the care for my one- and three-year-old grandchildren who were living with me at the time. Again, easily the best trainer I’ve ever had!
I have worked with Nick for about a year and a half. I am 64 years old, and have chronic hip pain that hasn’t responded to therapies. The majority of my day is spent sitting, so I often experienced lower and mid-back pain as well. Prior to Nick, I had been walking regularly and had been doing gentle yoga for 2 years. Nick developed a comprehensive strength training program that addressed overall strength and flexibility. I found that I now rarely have any back pain, and have learned to deal with my hip pain. Over time, my relationship with pain has changed, from having pain spark a “oh no, now what?” panic to more of a recognition that the pain will go away soon, and that I should exercise through it. It has worked. I feel stronger and more resilient than I ever have. Plus, I rarely get sick anymore. I’ve never been one to exercise, but I found myself enjoying my sessions with Nick. He combines a professionalism and talent with an upbeat, fun approach. He was able to gently challenge me to successfully tackle more difficult exercises that I never would have felt possible, such as dead-lifting 125 pounds! I haven’t ever felt so fit. I now do strength training 3 times per week, and likely would not have stuck to it if it hadn’t been for Nick.
I knew from the moment I worked out with Trent he would change my life. His calm, positive demeanor encourages me to keep going, especially when things get tough. Trent’s attention to detail with my FORM, my MIND, and my ABILITY is a strength that goes beyond expectation. His confidence in me has pushed me mentally and physically beyond measure. Fitness has always been an important part of my life. I was spending time at various gyms or studios around town taking classes and running, but wasn't seeing any changes or results. Then I decided to start training with Jeff. During the first class, I hated every minute, but absolutely loved the feeling of what I had accomplished once I was done. After that first class, I became a regular and haven't looked back since. Jeff has motivated me to find the right balance with nutrition, working out and rest. He has changed the way I think about how I approach working out. He has taught me that conditioning my body means building strength and fueling it properly with food. I love the diversity of the workouts. Every day I am in better shape, am getting stronger and am able to push myself harder. I am down 25 pounds and over 14% body fat. The biggest thing I have learned is that the change doesn't happen overnight, but if you believe in the process and commit to it, it will happen.
I began working with Trent about 2 and ½ years ago. Every workout is unique and different He is a wonderful trainer, and has kept me interested in my fitness goals. I lost 52 pounds and dropped my body fat from 38% to 4.2%. He is incredibly knowledgable in all aspects of training, including fitness and nutrition. I have been a member of a various gyms in Des Moines for 20 years, trying to stay heathy and had limited success. Six months ago I started training with Brandyn and for the first time and at the age of 50, I’m in the best shape of my life!

I can't begin to put in words how much I appreciate Jeff . He puts his heart and soul into helping his clients reach their goals. There are days that Jeff has more faith in me and what I'm capable of than I do myself. I started at 22% body fat and I'm down to 14%. I've gain more muscle over the last year than I thought was possible. I never thought I could actually do a bikini show until I brought the idea to Jeff. We set our game plan and I did and even got third in my class for my first show. I am so proud of myself but also proud of Jeff for sticking with me and always pushing me to be my best.
Jeff not only changed my life physically and mentally but also by creating a family and community to belong to. Jeff has pushed me to my limits everyday and made sure I advance myself when needed. I couldn't say how thankful or our grateful I am in any amount of words. If you want to challange yourself and see a change in your body and mind this is the trainer to join! Jeff has brought out the strength and the warrior in me that I never knew existed. He consistently shows you how much better you are than you think by teaching you to believe in yourself and not let yourself get pulled down into negative thinking. He always has a modification for exercises that will help you get stronger. The spirit of teamwork and never leaving one of your teammates behind has brought a sense of community to our groups and helps us cheer each other on whether it is during a workout or in our personal lives. Jeff is an excellent trainer and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Jeff, for your service to our country!
Some days I love Jeff. Most days I hate Jeff. But every day I am thankful for Jeff. He is an awesome trainer that has pushed me beyond my comfort zone. There is no way I would be where I am today physically without his help. He's pretty awesome and I have to admit, I love his workouts. Especially when we are done! Jeff - thank you for listening to us complain, for repeating the workout several times, for tolerating my eye rolls, for commenting on my sweat, for the beautiful friendships I have developed, for the off day workouts, and for just being you.
