9/8/20 Mindset #TuesdayTwoCents

In school, you periodically have exams after weeks and weeks of study and practice. In that time of practice comes homework and continued focus in order to learn the curriculum. After all the content is covered and worked on again and again, you’re tested.

Our curriculum doesn’t change all that much every 12 weeks. We don’t do anything fancy, because the basic shit we do do, is what works. A lot of our practice is constant fine tuning and refining. A great perspective to have everytime you come in our door is that you are constantly a work in progress. And ironically, those that do bring that mindset with a thirst to learn more about themselves are the ones that have more success.

Max out is a special time. It’s your chance to prove to YOURSELF that you put in the hard work to get better. That you took your one hour a day seriously and trained with intent. That you did what it takes outside the gym and adopted positive habits to help you inside the gym (sleep, eat, manage stress). We do this just 4 times a year. It’s should feel special, there should be hype, maybe it gives you nervous energy but energy nonetheless. Try to use that shit to your advantage.

In order to check progress, we have to test. In terms of strength training, it’s the ultimate opportunity to get real with yourself.

Let’s kick some ass this week!!
