Sisu is defined as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting in the face of adversity. Sisu personal training is about taking action against the odds and displaying and sustaining courage and resoluteness in the face of adversity. The objective of the Academy is to create structure through this adversity. Put more simply, this program is designed to continuously expose and crush comfort zones. SISU is used to describe the mental power that resides in everyone, thus making Sisu a very personal term. Applying the principal of action, Sisu is more about the process of self-discovery than the end result. Resilience can only be developed in the face of adversity; therefore developing a desire to actively seek perceived barriers is pivotal because it lets you know where you currently stand. Failure is not only acceptable but also sought after. Quitting is not.

To carry out our philosophy, Sisu Strength Academy is founded on small group training (max of 6-8 per trainer), that is broken into 3 different phases, Mechanic, Dynamic and Power, per class along with 3 different trainers that will circulate and train you throughout the week. This gives each and every athlete not only the knowledge of 1 trainer but 3, in a setting that would rival any 1:1 training. We will not only make your goals ours but we are ready to smash your preconceived barriers of your self! You will find accountability and a competitive push from your peers not just in your small group but you are also apart of something much bigger, the academy, this is the difference. The training that you will find will push you from barbell strength training, to bootcamp style workouts, to advanced high intensity interval training, at no point will workouts ever get repetitive or boring. With any academy you must progress through, right?
