This is not a gym. This is a community, a way of life, a new perspective, a team that genuinely cares about you. Coaches and classmates who all want the best for one another. Coming into Sisu I was a workout nut. Played sports my whole life, lifted for more than a decade, even ran and taught a kickboxing fitness gym. I am BLOWN AWAY how much I am learning. My strength skyrocketed, I nearly doubled my squat and deadlift in the first 6months all with no more knee or back pain. I gained more strength and cardio function in one year than a decade prior. Lowest body fat I’ve ever been and also the heaviest I’ve weighed. 2 years in I’m still learning every class. This is so much more than a gym!
SISU is different. SISU is a gym unlike any I’ve ever been a part of. It’s a combination of mindset, education, and community that set them apart.
*Education- There is science behind every workout they design. The trainers have so much enthusiasm with every question you ask and there is a passion to see you both set and meet goals.
*Mentality- They preach a mentality that leads to success in the gym but that is and should be carried outside the gym walls.
*Community- The definitive pillar of SISU. As simple as I can state… you join a team when you join SISU. It’s a team where everyone is committed to putting each other first.
Two years later and I don’t miss a workout… I’m committed to this team! Get off the bench and come join! You’ll never regret it!
I am not one that believes that everything happens for a reason but I found Sisu at a time when I needed it most and it changed my life. I kind of don’t want anyone to see this but I will because if I can change my life anyone can.
When I started my journey I was in a dark place, and I hated who I was becoming. I had no energy and zero desire to better my life. So I decided to try Sisu. My anxiety was telling me that I was too old, & too fat to keep up but I showed up & never quit. The coaches and community made me feel like I belong and that I could do anything with the correct mindset (Sisu). I weighed 280 lbs and now I am under 210. I NEVER thought I would be able to do the things I can do now. I had to walk through the fire but I never quit. Through Sisu my mindset has completely changed in every aspect of my life.
As a teen I was always a little overweight, wasn’t great at sports, and over time my self confidence disappeared. This mindset followed me to college and developed into an eating disorder. I became my own worst critic. Sisu is a place where I am not afraid to fail, to face my fears, or to be a beginner. It doesn’t matter if you are an athlete or a mom. When I step up to the bar, I take a deep breath and I focus on being my very best self.
