If the toughest hour of your day is when you come see us, life is pretty good – 02.10

Allen Dale said, “If necessity is the mother of invention, then laziness is the father.”

I always like the reminders of how soft we are. It gives the chance to think and respect those before us and how much harder every prior generation had it. It’s a night and day difference between how things were 50 years ago, let alone 100 years ago.

There are people still with us today that lived through the great depression, served in the second world war or saw diseases that have been completed eradicated.

To get through times like these, you needed to be a tough bitch. One of the shittiest times of the last century, in my opinion, would be serving in the jungles of Vietnam. Hot as fuck, bugs everywhere, sleeping in trenches, stressed to the max, surrounded by boobie traps, socks and boots constantly soaked.

When life becomes easier, it unfortunately makes us manufacture problems to make our lives sound like they’re in fact, difficult. Point being, even with our inevitable laziness after centuries of hardship, we don’t have to succumb to it.

If the toughest hour of your day is when you come see us, life is pretty good.
