All of this shit sucks.

Why? Because they all imply that you will begin, and you will end. But this approach is all wrong, and it’s unfortunate that the health and fitness industry is littered with stuff like this. Why? Because it sells. Why do so many people fall for this stuff? Because everyone wants a quick fix or their magic pill. I’m not saying in 60 days you can’t lose weight or that a fad diet can’t work in the short term, but almost always, it’s followed by a “relapse”. It’s so appealing that you’ll go on some diet or do some challenge and hit your goal in 6 weeks or whatever, and then go back to doing what you were doing before.


What is undervalued and under sold is what actually provides lifelong sustainable change. Once you start working out, you should plan to work out for the rest of your life. We are meant to move, even when we’re “old”. So don’t use that as a cop out. Unless you really want to wither away.


Developing awareness of the food you take in and how it fuels your body, how it makes you feel should be held in the highest regard. Energy intake (calories) and energy output is all it’s comes down to for weight loss/gain.
It’s your job to sift through the bullshit. But your approach and mindset when you begin anything is what will ultimately decide your success, or lack of.
