I regard fitness as a metaphor for life. Challenges will always come your way, and if you desire to grow
as an individual, it takes ownership of your actions and attacking your weaknesses head on. This is an
idea that Sisu helped me bring to fruition by digging deeper into its true meaning, a journey of self-
discovery.


My name is Nick Hargens and I’ve been a trainer and group fitness instructor for over 10 years. In that
time, I have been working with people one on one, in small groups, and in large groups. Growing up, I
was an athlete in almost every sport, both team and individual. This developed a passion for competing
and teamwork.


After graduating from Iowa State with a degree in Kinesiology and Health with a minor in Health
Promotions, I entered the fitness industry gaining various certifications and experience. In 2017, I helped
start Sisu Strength Academy and refine it to what it has grown to be today.
